Surrounded by charming perennial gardens, Wildcraft Studio is nestled in the hills of the Madawaska Highlands. Since its opening 33 years ago, the studio has been the home of the hand-blown glass and fused glass work of Debora Wildsmith-Chappell and Simon Chappell. The studio now also displays the jewellery created by Debora, as she has turned her passion to copper artistry and creates one-of-a-kind copper and silver jewellery.
“I am fascinated by the transformation of copper under my hammer; the shapes and texture that are created speak of the earth from which the copper is born. I look to the colours and textures that surround me in the natural world – the sparkle of green on a touch of moss, the crumple of red in an autumn leaf – to inspire and infuse my work.
