Tanya Lyons graduated with honours from the Sheridan College glass program. She studied at the University of Art and Design Helsinki, Finland, The Atlin Art Centre in BC, and the Toyama Institute of Glass Art in Japan. She taught in the glass studio at Sheridan College, was a resident at the Harbourfront Centre and volunteered on the Board of Directors for the Glass Art Association of Canada. 

After 14 years in Quebec, Tanya returned to her hometown community to raise her daughter and continue her work with glass. This is her third year as volunteer Coordinator of the Madawaska Valley Studio Tour.  She continues to teach in the glass program of the Haliburton School of Art and Design, and work with the Ottawa Valley-Creative Arts Open Studio.

Tanya's work, for which she has received awards and grants, has been exhibited throughout the world.
